Hi, I'm Jonathan Barrera a Graphic Designer based in Evansville, IN and originally from El Salvador. Graduated from University of Southern Indiana. My projects range from book designs, magazines, posters, flyers, logo design and exclusive branding. I value close collaboration with my clients to create high quality and impactful graphic solutions.

As a designer, I feel compelled to create new and unique work. As a visual communicator, I am focused on communicating problems to solve any outcomes that need to be achieved. I have the power to influence how a viewer sees the world, compelling them to see it how I want them to. For this reason, I constantly consider the client/audience and how they will view the work. I collect information and analyze it to discover the best solution. My success is determined by the measurable outcomes, not just by how great it looks.

In order to create good design, it is my responsibility to know and understand the topic. My design process begins by researching,finding creative inspiration, and gathering information. Before moving on to the design itself, I take some time to think about creative solutions for the project. I use past successful work as guidelines, but my goal is to come up with something new and different that will stand out. I create a few simple hand-drawn sketches before using a software program such as Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop and moving on to the final design phases, then solution. Throughout my work I have learned that graphic design gives me the opportunity to express and explore my own creativity. In developing a concept, I do not restrict my imagination of allowing myself the freedom to experiment and grow as a designer. With each design experience, I have developed a better understanding of visual communications and the design process. Good design work can make a big difference, whether it's getting a message across, building a brand, or motivating people. Graphic Design is communicating and connecting with people.

I've always been an achiever; academics or professional life, sports any other field in my life. I believe in success through hard work and dedication. My motto in life is " If you want something, work hard and you will achieve it ".
